Howdie friends of the matter? Have we found ourselves some open shelf love, a lovely, organized kitchen, this lovely morning. It was death by the cleaning up but I managed to pull it off, alright.
Yay! Free from bending down in an obscene position everytime you want a bowl. Of course when people are around I am very oriental in my “taking out bowls” sitting…you know how it is right? Like you’d do when clad in a kimono. But rest of the time when no one is looking, I bang steel on steel and ceramic on ceramic to get out a handful of cooking utensils. Very bad phase, I must say.
By the way, do you believe that there is a day for everything?
On certain days you just feel like sleeping while on others you simply want to get things done. Yesterday was one of those days when I felt like getting things done. I woke up and my thoughts immediately steered towards the messy kitchen. Yikes. Cannot procrastinate anymore. Off I went to the market…
…And what started at 8:30 in the morning, after feeding the hubby and sending him to work, finished at 4:00 P.M straight but boy what a change. Happiness is an organized and clean kitchen.
All under 20$! Happiness x 2.
Behold the after…
And the before…
I kind of alligned everything and curtained it once- you can read about it here, but it eventually didn’t work out. The bowl-squats kept happening and utensils kept tumbling. Had to get a permanent solution.
Very happy with my new kitchen. Very! My husband’s been very worried about my organizing skills. Maybe finally he would agree that I am after all, an organized wife 😉
Have you been meaning to change anything lately? Would love to hear!

I am not brave enough to have open shelves. Inside is where the organizing needs to occur.

You know, I have a tendency to overlook things if they are covered.
Hence, the open shelves!
